Red Spring Racing was founded in 2025 by Jon Hochberg, who previously served as the Thoroughbred Managing Partner for Funky Munky Stable. 

It was that experience as managing partner, coupled with years of ownership experience with multiple partnerships that led to the vision of Red Spring Racing. The name originates from the adoration of Saratoga and the long standing tradition of drinking a cup of unfiltered natural spring water from Big Red Spring on the hallowed grounds of Saratoga Race Course as the first order of business and meeting point for friends and family on each and every visit to the track.

What started as a day trip among neighborhood families from the Hudson Valley in 1988, has turned into a long standing tradition of returning to Saratoga each and every summer ever since to gather with family and friends and enjoy all that the historic track and magnificent town have to offer. 

Red Spring Racing is not just a partnership, it’s a tradition come to life to compete on the most lucrative racing circuit in the United States of America.
